John’s Pizzeria, New York

Before heading to a Broadway show, we were in search of a quick, inexpensive bite before the performance. We came across John’s Pizzeria, a former church turned pizzeria. We waited for 10 minutes for a seat and was surprised how large the restaurant is. Behind the bar area, is a large dining room and additional dining space upstairs. The ceiling had beautiful stained glass.

We ordered a carafe of wine and my friend had chicken parmesean. Breaded chicken cutlet topped marinara and mozzarella cheese and a side of ziti. $14.95

Italian Panini $10 Grilled chicken, tomato slices, fresh mozzarella cheese with pesto sauce. The side salad was romaine lettuce topped with tomatoes and John’s vinaigrette
