Pommes Frites = tender on inside, twice fried Belgian fries. Not only does Pommes Frites have fantastic fries and exotic sauces, the staff are the most hospitable guys, who would keep customers coming back time and time again.
There are three sizes, regular, large and double and over twenty-five special sauce options.
Our sample included a few fries and five samples of Mexican ketchup (sweet cilantro salsa), Smoked Eggplant Mayo, Vietnamese Pineapple Mayo, Roasted Garlic Mayo and Parmesan Peppercorn and Rosemary Garlic Mayo.
Our favorites were the Mexican ketchup and Vietnamese Pineapple Mayo because both had the perfect combination of sweet and tangy.
We settled on a large fry for $6.25, Especial sauce (like Big Mac sauce) and the Vietnamese Pineapple Mayo. The pineapple mayo had the flavor profile of a banh mi (cilantro, vegetables, mayo and spice).
Next time, I am trying the Poutine and the Roasted Garlic Mayo, Rosemary Garlic Mayo, Sweet Mango Chutney Mayo, Honey Mustard Mayo. Boston has its own Belgian fries shop equivalent, Saus, but I wish it had Pomme Frites Vietnamese Pineapple Mayo.
