The blood orange oreos from Boston Common Coffee Company‘s Chinatown location inspired me to recreate a home version of the oreos. After walking on Salem Street and passed by Lulu’s Sweet Shoppe, Neptune Oyster, True Value (they have the best non-Hallmark greeting cards) and Antico Forno, I returned to my old North End cafe stomping grounds and enjoyed Boston Common Coffee Company’s North End location.

I have enjoyed their muffin tops and generously sized chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies.

Boston Common Coffee serves a nice variety of Mighty Leaf tea and had red hibiscus iced tea available on my visit.  It was fragrant, cool and invigorating.

The iced soy chai was just the right amount of sweetness and chai flavor.

I can not speak highly enough about Boston Common Coffee. I always enjoy their consistently well-made beverages, baked goods, lunch items and of course the tortellini salad.
