Limon Restaurant, located in the Mission, is known for their Pollo a la Brasa, free-range chicken roasted over open flame. The restaurant is spacious, tables are close to each other and there is funky art along the walls.
The menu has a nice selection of cocktails, empanadas and hot and cold starters.
The chicken came with Aji sauces, it was super juicy and had crisp skin. The root vegetables were nicely grilled and tender..
The Chicarron de Pollo, crispy pieces of marinated chicken with Garlic and aji Amarillo was unbelievable and served wih salsa criolla.
We also sampled the Peruvian dish Lomito Saltado. The marinated top sirloin strips with onions, tomatoes and soy sane were delicious and served with french fries.
Our entire meal at Limon was delicious and moderately priced. The steak, chicken, vegetables and sides were executed well and served family style. We look forward to returning again.
