McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts, Bangkok and Chiang Mai

We love visiting global restaurant franchises everywhere we travel. McDonalds was a hot spot for ex-pats and Thai students alike just enjoying some fries, a burger and fried chicken. The dipping sauces were unique. The most popular item ordered seemed to be the soft serve, and dipped in a chocolate coating.

Dunkin Donuts had an array of circular donuts, happy face frosting and multicolored sprinkles. We were impressed by how popular purchasing a whole dozen of donuts was among fashionable young Thai students.

7-11, Thailand

711 was our water, snacks and soda source throughout our trip. We were tickled by the in-house green tea smoothies and Chang beer (loved the Elephant logo). The rice “burgers”, seaweed and peking duck flavored Lays potato chips, nori strips and other Asian treats were fun to browse.
