Bojangles, Charlotte

When our plane was delayed because of rain, we went on the search for a bite to eat. Like a mirage, Bojangle’s neon sign looked from a far like a Popeye’s sign. At first I was in disbelief in fact the sign was for fried chicken, it was just a different brand. Bojangles is centralized in the Southern states and has not yet made it to the West or North East. Bojangles costs a few more dollars more than KFC and Popeye’s but is worth it for what makes the chain unique from competitors.

Bojangles has a nice variety of  fried chicken, combos, chicken breakfast sandwiches, sides and biscuits. We ordered a fried chicken breast $3.99, wing $1.99, Large (picnic size) seasoned fries $2.99, four piece super snack chicken tenders $4.99 and a Cajun filet chicken biscuit $3.99.
Once a customer orders, the meal is guaranteed in under one minute, which I really appreciated.
The cajun fries were thickly cut with a nice spice. We ordered the picnic size. We also think Bojangles has the best fast food honey mustard sauce we have tasted. I think the secret is dijon mustard.

The chicken meat is dredged in spices, but the breading itself is not spicy.Bojangles has the best fast food restaurant biscuit I have ever eaten. Buttery, fluffy, a great size, it is by far the most memorable.
