I love Aquitaine for weekend brunch. I always get the omelette A La Maison (bacon and gruyere), cinnamon bun, grapefruit juice and bottomless coffee. Here’s a nugget of information, on Saturday’s the prixe fixe brunch is $9.95.
This is the second time I’ve been to Aquitaine for dinner and was flawless. The service, ambiance and food delectable.
We shared a warm beet salad and I had the Thursday evening special Crispy Long Island Duck over farro, fennel, orange and spiced Jus. My dining companion’s filet au poivre was the right temperature and the cognac cream, green peppercorns and pommes au gratin was wonderful. Of course we had to have the Pommes Frites with basil garlic aioli.
For dessert we had apple tartin and bread pudding, a great way to finish the meal.
