Fig Jam and Brie Filo Tarts

This is a simple appetizer that is sure to please at any dinner or party. These pre-made filo tarts from Athens are fantastic when you are in a rush! The filo shell containers are also useful for transporting the finished tarts if necessary. What I did was just quickly toasted in the tarts to warm the brie, once I got to the party.

Adapted from Epicurious

Makes 8 servings

  • 2 packages of mini filo shells
  • 1 wedge of good brie
  • 1 C of good quality all fruit fig preserves

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Carefully cut the brie wedge into 30 pieces. Make sure to discard the rind as it will be too chewy for some. Put a piece of brie in each filo tart shell and top with 3/4 tsp of fig jam. Bake until brie is soft, about 5 minutes. Serve warm.
