berry line, Back Bay, Boston

berry line is another addition to the frozen yogurt wave and originated in Harvard Square, started by two biology graduate students. Before Pinkberry, Red Mango and Tasti-D came to Boston, berry line was created in Boston as its offering to the marketplace for tangy frozen yogurt. We recently went to the Newbury Street location. There are other locations including Fenway and Porter Square.

The decor reminds me of a more relaxed Ben and Jerry’s and features local artists. They have a few flavors the day we visited including blueberry, original, watermelon, oreo and mint.  Apparently the calorie count is 25 calories per ounce. A small size is 5 ounces.Similiar to Pinkberry, berry line offers a great variety of fresh fruits and toppings.I tried a small 5 oz. cup of half Original half Blueberry for $2.75. The yogurt was soft, original was tangy and blueberry was refreshing.
