I was on the search for a hot dog, but not a traditional Chicago dog (Mustard, relish, onion, sport peppers, tomato, pickle and celery salt.) I wandered over to America’s Dog to see what is the best of interpretations of America’s hot dogs.
America’s Dog serves Vienna hot dogs and there is Regular for $3.39 or Jumbo for $3.79. America’s Dog offers veggie dogs for an additional 79 cents.
The map of the various areas that hot dogs were tasted. There are so many options including the Dallas dog, Chili, onion and shredded cheddar cheese, Tuscon dog, Jalapeno hot dog with chorizo, jalapenos & melted cheese topped with crispy tortilla chips, Boston dog, baked beans, bacon and onion sauce and Bourbon Street, Chicken Andouille Sausage smothered in a Holy Trinity Slaw and a remoulade sauce on a pretzel roll, to name a few.
I had a regular Baltimore dog, which is a deep-fried dog, with melted cheddar and grilled onions. The sweet onions, melty cheddar and the crispy hot dog was fantastic. I also liked the poppyseed on the bun.
Wishing You Happy Holidays!
