Heritage Boots, Soco, Austin

Heritage Boots is the place to get a new pair of unique boots. The boots are made of calf skin, shark skin or other leathers. Although the shoe sizes and styles are limited to what is in store and are rarely special ordered, there was a great selection.

The 1930’s-1960’s vintage inspired designs are made by the two owners and produced a town in Mexico.

Typically, the boots are not to be photographed, but by asking in advance to take a photo, the thorough, friendly and patient sales folk were happy to oblige.

Our Brown Shark Skin boots and Jesse Dayton black calfskin boots. I love stomping around the city with authority, but have countless boots that have withered away from Boston’s salt laden sidewalks.

We were shown examples of shoes that have been worn for years and they have aged gracefully. To preserve our boots, we received complimentary leather lotion. Fortunately, Boston’s weather has been unbelievable, so hopefully I’ll be stomping around soon.
