The Kimber Modern is an amazing boutique hotel with 6 guest rooms and one of the best hotel experienced we have ever had. The hotel has interesting architecture and was designed by Burton Baldridge. The Kimber Modern is perfectly situated a street behind in the busling area of Soco. It is a great location to explore South Congress Street, South 1st Street and South Lamar. Prior to our stay, local architecture students took a tour of the hotel.
The staff are the most thoughtful and accommodating people. The entrance and room keys are coded for easy accessibility. Upon stay and departure, there is no need to check-in because guests determine their length of stay and the hotel staff pre-code their keys ahead of time.

The Kimber Modern experience was first class. The staff was laid back, friendly and we had such a positive experience, setting the bar high for any future boutique hotel stay. If we are ever back in Austin (which we definitely plan to), we will return to Kimber Modern.
