After some stellar Banana Pudding at both Stubb’s and the Driskill Hotel’s 1884 Cafe, we knew we would be making our own rendition. Our version had more intensity of banana flavor because we mashed super ripe bananas into the vanilla pudding itself, in addition to the banana slices. I also enjoyed the texture of the Nilla wafer crumble and sweetened whip cream on top. Next time, I am making homemade Nilla wafers from scratch.
- Cook and Serve vanilla pudding
- 3 ripe bananas (2 sliced bananas for the pudding and 1 sliced banana for garnish)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 30 Nilla wafers (additional 5 Nilla wafers for crumbs)
