We have loved and tried many recipes from Cooks Illustrated (including an adaptation of Pasta with Broccolini and Sausage) and from The Cook’s Illustrated Cookbook: 2,000 Recipes from 20 Years of America’s Most Trusted Cooking Magazine.
Several years ago, we attended America’s Test Kitchen’s evening series in Cambridge and our readers have the opportunity to win one pair of tickets to the Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 8pm at Sanders Theater, Harvard Square.
Audience members will get an insider’s view into America’s Test Kitchen, which has become one of the strongest rated shows on television, surpassing The Food Network’s top cooking shows. The evening will include a behind-the-scenes look into how the equipment testings, food tastings, and science experiments take place.

ATK Chewy Brownies! For years my sisters and I tried to make “the perfect brownie” and only felt accomplished after following this recipe. Perfect.
My favorite Test Kitchen recipe is the vegetarian chili. In the many years that I’ve been a vegetarian, I’ve come across a lot of chili recipes. The Test Kitchen version is one of the better ones because it uses minimal ingredients, but the flavor is great.
