Instructions
In a medium saucepan bring the milk and vanilla to a simmer.
In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, cornstarch, and eggs with an electric mixer until light in color.
While mixing, very slowly stream the hot milk into the egg mixture. Mix in the pumpkin, butter, and pumpkin spice.
Add this back to the saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook until thickened.
Let cool to room temperature. Pour into the prepared crust. Chill for at least 3-4 hours before serving.
