Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, stir. Heat for 15 seconds, stir. Repeat until 75% melted. At that point stir until the remaining chips melt.
Add the cream cheese to the warm melted chocolate. Mix until smooth.
In a separate large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
Add ⅓ of the chocolate mixture the whipped cream. Mix well. Slowly fold in the remaining whipped cream.
Spoon or pipe into small serving bowls.
Notes
Nutrition: The nutrition facts are for ⅙th of the recipe. I pipe it into 6 glasses to divide the mousse evenly. It is very rich.
Chocolate Chips: The sweetness in this comes from the sugar in the chocolate chips. You can use any variety but you may want to add a tablespoon or two of powdered sugar if you choose chips that aren't very sweet.
