Instructions
Preheat oven to 300. Line a 15x10-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
Mix the brownie mix, butter, egg white, and half the chocolate chips in a large bowl. Add water as needed to form a batter.
Spread in the prepared pan.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the brownie brittle looks dry. This may take up to an hour.
Let cool to room temperature. Break into pieces.
Bake again until firm. I bake for 20 minutes the second time, then turn the oven off and let the brittle rest inside as the oven cools.
Notes
For recipes like this baking times can vary a lot. I would recommend checking the brittle every 15 minutes.
