Melt the chocolate in the microwave by heating it for 20 seconds and then stirring. Continue heating with 20-second increments until the chocolate chips are 75% melted. At that point, stir until they melt completely.
Spread the melted chocolate in an 8x12 rectangle on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Immediately sprinkle on the pecans. Press gently so they stick.
Transfer to the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens. Break into 2-inch pieces.
