Start the day off with this Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino Recipe! Forgot about trips to local coffee shops, and make this easy recipe at home. You can enjoy all the peppermint chocolate flavor right at home.

I'm all about saving money and still getting great coffee flavor. This copycat Starbucks peppermint mocha frappuccino is the perfect example of how you can create a drink to your personal preference while still tasting just like the real deal.
You can change it up with fun optional toppings, too, like holiday sprinkles and all the chocolate chips. It's one of my favorite drinks for a treat at home, and I love making it during the holiday season as well because of the peppermint flavor.

How to Make a Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino Recipe

Step One: Blend the coffee and ice cubes. Add the milk to the blender.

Step Two: Followed by the vanilla syrup.

Step Three: Then add the chocolate syrup. Next, follow up with the remaining ingredients.

Step Four: Blend until smooth.

Step Five: Add the mixture to a tall glass or mason jar. We think it is fun to recycle a real cup from Starbucks. No one will even know you didn't buy this frappe!

Step Six: Add toppings of your choice. We used whipped cream, chocolate syrup, crushed candy canes, and mini chocolate chips. Yum!
Top Tip
If you want a really chilled drink, add the cup to the freezer beforehand. That way, the drink and the glass will both be cold.
Substitutions
- Instant coffee - You can easily use instant coffee to make this drink fast.
- Chocolate sauce - For a thicker chocolate texture, you can use chocolate sauce instead of syrup.
Variations
- Cocoa powder - Add some cocoa powder to the top of your drink for a fun look and more chocolate flavor.
- Peppermint syrup - This is a fun way to get a great peppermint flavor.
- Milk - If you don't have whole milk, you can use almond milk or skim milk.

Equipment
The best part about making this coffee drink is that you don't need any fancy equipment. A high-speed blender and a drinking glass are it.
Storage
This peppermint mocha recipe is best served fresh. Since it takes just a few minutes to make it, it's quick and easy to whip up. I don't recommend making it ahead of time or freezing it once it's done.
If you do make it and have leftovers, you can store them in the fridge for later, but I would advise drinking it that day for the best flavor. The ice cubes will melt and water down the drink.

Common Questions
The options are endless. You can easily add fun, festive sprinkles to make it holiday-friendly. Adding crushed peppermint candies and chocolate shavings is also fun.
Absolutely. If you have leftover coffee, many people pour it into ice cube trays and let it freeze to make iced coffee cubes. They are a fun way to add extra taste because they don't water down the drink as they melt.
