How to Make Strawberry Lemon Mocktail
Step One: To make the puree, thaw the frozen berries in the microwave. You can also leave them out at room temperature for 1 hour. Blend to make a puree. Strain the seeds, if desired.
Step Two: Add ice to a wine glass. Pour in the lemon juice and the strawberry puree.
Step Three: Top with the lemon lime soda. Stir.
Step Four: Garnish and serve.
Top Tip
You can also use fresh strawberries if they are very ripe. You may need to add a bit of liquid to blend them.
Substitutions
- Lime juice - If you don't have lemon juice, lime juice works just fine.
- Lemon zest - Adding a bit of lemon zest would be a good option.
- Seltzer - Skip the soda and add some sparkling water and bit of simple syrup.
Variations
- Fresh fruit - Did you know that you can make other simple non-alcoholic drinks like this by just swapping out the fruit? Easy peasy!
- White wine - And yes, if you want to add some alcohol, you can. Pouring a bit of white wine into your cup of ice is all you need to do.
- Garnish - Add some ginger leaves, or even a bit of sugar, on the rim of the glass. A sprig of mint would also be nice and refreshing.

Storage
Since this drink is best served fresh, I don't recommend making it ahead of time or storing it for later. Make it fresh, and enjoy!
Common Questions
Basically, it's a "mock" or fake cocktail. That means that it has the look of a cocktail, but it's alcohol-free. You'll find that these are really popular with adults who don't drink alcohol, and also kids who like to have a fun drink that is big on flavor.
There are so many great options! You can serve this recipe at a baby shower, birthday parties, holiday gatherings, pool parties, or just as a fun family drink at home.
This easy mocktail recipe is also super fun for teen gatherings when they want to have a drink that is something besides "just" soda and juice. The fun part about serving mocktails is that everyone is able to partake in the drinking of this refreshing and yummy beverage.
Absolutely. You could easily add wine or even ginger beer for a fun flavor. However, just keep in mind that you want to be sure that people know that there is alcohol in your altered recipe, just in case they don't drink or don't want to consume alcohol for their own reasons.
And of course, it would no longer be called a mocktail at that point - but, instead, a cocktail.
