How to Make Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add parchment paper to a baking sheet.
Step One: In a large bowl, cream the butter. Add the sugar.
Step Two: Mix with an electric mixer until creamy. Add the eggs and mix until smooth.
Step Three: Add the flour. Mix until just incorporated.
Step Four: Mix in the chocolate chips.
Step Five: Put the dough balls onto the baking sheet, using a small cookie scoop. Divide each ball into four small pieces. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Step Six: Put the pan in the oven and bake for 7-9 minutes, or until they are lightly browned around the edges. Let them cool on the pan.
Top Tip
Do not overbake these if you want chewy cookies. Bake just until the edges are turning brown. They will set as they cool on the tray. For crisp cookies, bake until the whole cookie is light brown.
Substitutions
- Unsalted butter - If you only have unsalted butter, you can still use it, but just add a little bit of extra salt to the mixture.
Variations
- Vanilla extract - You can add any extract that you want for more flavor.
- Brown sugar - You can use light brown sugar or dark brown sugar.
- Chocolate chips - Have fun changing the flavor of the chocolate chips.
