Peanut butter - I recommend using natural creamy peanut butter for this dessert. It is used in both the batter and as a topping.
Ripe bananas - The bananas need to be ripe for the sweetness and the ability to be mashed well. Still ripe but slightly firmer bananas work better as garnish.
How To Make This 3-Ingredient Brownie Recipe
Step One: Pour the brownie mix into a large bowl. Mash the bananas with a fork, and add to the bowl with the brownie mix. Add the peanut butter. Stir well to combine.
Step Two: Spread the brownie batter into a large baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it out and make it even and smooth.Â

3 Ingredient Brownies
Ingredients
- 15 oz brownie mix ***
- â…” cup mashed banana
- â…” cup peanut butter
Topping (optional)
- 1 banana sliced
- ½ cup peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9/13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Stir together the ingredients.
- Spread in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until the center only jiggles slightly.
- Add peanut butter as a topping, if desired. Cool completely.
Topping (optional)
- Drop tiny spoonfuls of peanut butter on the hot brownies. It will melt slightly.
- Place slices of banana on the brownies after they are cooled.
