How to Make Edible Cookie Dough Recipe for One
Step One: Put the flour and brown sugar in a bowl. Stir.
Step Two: Add the wet ingredients into the bowl
Step Three: Stir until smooth. It will be thick.
Step Four: Add the chocolate chips. I like mini chocolate chips but regular are fine.
Step Five: Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Step Six: Enjoy or put in the fridge for later.
Top Tip
Raw Flour - Many recipes call for heating flour to kill bacteria or contaminants. I do not do this. We have never gotten sick from raw flour.
If you would like to heat treat the flour to kill bacteria and contaminants, you may do so. Microwave the flour for 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds. Allow to cool before proceeding.
Substitutions
- Brown sugar - You can use light brown sugar or dark brown sugar to make this late night snack.
Variations
- Chocolate chips - I'm all about making cookie dough that reminds me of chocolate chip cookies, but you can also add butterscotch chips, dark chocolate chips, or white chocolate chips to the raw dough as well. Make it your favorite way, and enjoy!
- Vanilla extract - To add a bit of vanilla flavoring to your cookie dough cravings, add a tiny bit of vanilla extract.
See this Mini Chocolate Chip Muffin Recipe for more chocolate flavors!
Equipment
To make this edible chocolate chip cookie dough, a hand mixer isn't required, as a mixing spoon will work. You will need a small bowl and a spoon to enjoy!
Storage
Once you make this small batch of edible cookie dough, there likely won't be any left for storage. However, if there is, you store any leftovers in an airtight container an keep it stored in the fridge. For the best results, eat within 1-2 days.
You can also freeze this single serving dessert, but I do think that it's best enjoyed fresh.
Common Questions
If you want to add a little bit of cocoa powder to this homemade edible cookie dough, go for it!
Nope! This raw cookie dough is eggless. I use milk and butter to bind the dry ingredients together to form the perfect dessert.Â
The good news is that you have options when it comes to serving this dessert.
If you want to turn it into a dessert dip, grab some vanilla wafer cookies or some graham crackers and dip. Thin it with additional milk to a dippable consistency. Otherwise, you can enjoy eating it with a spoon, fork, or however you prefer!Â
