This Passion Fruit Mocktail has the perfect tropical flavors. It's so simple to make this delicious drink, and it's ideal for serving at a baby shower, on hot summer days, or just when someone of any age is craving a refreshing drink with a tangy-sweet flavor.

The great thing about this passion fruit mocktail recipe is that it's alcohol-free, and you just need four simple ingredients to make it. No fancy cocktail shaker needed. In just minutes, you can enjoy that tangy sweetness sip after sip.
Mocktails are like faux cocktails, meaning that even kids can join in on the sipping fun. It's super simple to turn any of your favorite cocktails into mocktails, and this drink shows you how.
Be sure to try my Cherry Mocktail and this Kiwi Mocktail for two other super delicious flavors. Both are just as simple as this one, too.

Ingredients
- Passion fruit nectar - This adds the tropical twist flavor that makes the basis of the drink.
- Simple syrup - Adds sweetness.
- Fresh lime juice - Just a little squeeze adds a citrus burst.
- Seltzer - A great way to add a bit of fizz to the drink.

How to Make this Passion Fruit Mocktail

Step One: Add ice cubes to your favorite glass. Pour in the juices and the syrup.

Step Two: Top with the seltzer and stir. Garnish with lime wedges or anything else you want, and serve.
Top Tip
For other citrus notes, you could use lemon juice as well. Lime or lemon both complement the other flavors of this drink.
Substitutions
- Sparkling water - Have fun trying out other flavors of sparkling water that can add different tastes.
- Tropical fruits - Feeling fancy? Garnish with a few slices of kiwi, pineapple, or mango for a new look. Or add some seeds from ripe passion fruits. Passion fruit seeds are edible, while the white pith is not.
Variations
- Liquids - You can always add other liquids and flavors. A splash of coconut water, apple juice, ginger beer, or ginger ale, is a way to change up the flavor next time. Check the grocery store aisles and have fun finding new inspiration.
- Mint - Muddle and add some fresh mint to turn this into a passion fruit mojito!

Equipment
This mocktail recipe requires only a few ingredients, so minimal equipment is needed as well. All you need is a glass and a spoon to stir. Besides that, you can use measuring cups or just eyeball and taste as you go.
Storage
In my opinion, this mocktail is best served fresh. That way, nothing settles to the bottom of the glass.
You can mix up the nectar, lime juice, and simple syrup in a pitcher to make it easier to serve to a crowd. Just keep the ratios proportionate and add sparkling water when serving.
If you do have to store it for later, an airtight container or mason jar with a lid is best. Then, when it's time to sip and enjoy, just be sure to give it a fresh stir to mix all the flavors back together.

Common Questions
It does not. That is what a mocktail is - a refreshing and fun drink without alcohol. These are typically served at celebratory events, and are a great way for kids and adults to enjoy flavors together.
It's all in what you crave. Citrus fruits like lime wedges or lemon slices are always fun because they add flavor, and they're also bright and festive. Sliced strawberries are another yummy twist. If you're a fan of a sweet flavor on the rim, you can dip the rim in sugar before filling it with the drink. Another option is to add those little drink umbrellas that make everything look tropical.
I don't see why not. If you wanted to make it and add some to the freezer to see how it would turn out, give it a try. The only thing to keep in mind is that it might separate during freezing, which can affect the flavor. If you were hoping to make this have the same texture as a frozen margarita does, you could always add crushed ice to the glass instead of cubes. While it won't be exactly the same, it will give it a more slushy texture. The great thing about making this drink is that you can try options and see what you like best.
