Just three simple ingredients are needed to make these yummy tart cherry gummies! Made with real fruit juice and no artificial sweeteners, these simple gummies are a snack that kids and adults will love!

I love using fruit juices as a natural sweetener. Not only are these cherry gummies delicious, but there is no denying that they're fun to eat.
This is one of my favorite recipes because adding cherries to your daily diet offers some pretty nice health benefits. Cherries can help with immune support, joint health, and even getting a restful sleep while encouraging healthy sleeping patterns.

Ingredients
- Tart cherry juice - Make sure to get 100% tart cherry juice.Â
- Boiling water - It needs to be boiling for it to activate and set the molds.
- Honey - A natural sweetener for added flavor.
- Gelatin - This is needed to create the texture.
See recipe card for quantities.
How to Make Tart Cherry Gummies
Step One: Put the cherry juice into a measuring cup. Sprinkle the gelatin on top.
Step Two: Let this set for 5 minutes to soften.
Step Three: Add the boiling water. Stir until all the gelatin is dissolved.Â
Step Four: Add the honey. Mix well.
Step Five: Pour the mixture into silicone molds set on a baking sheet and place in the fridge until firm.Â
Step Six: Serve and enjoy!
Top Tip
Depending on the shape and size of your mold filling the cavities with a dropper, small measuring cup, or measuring tablespoon may make it easier.
Substitutions
- Fresh cherry juice - All you need is a couple handfuls of cherries to get fresh cherry juice. You can squeeze or mash and get the juice that way. Remember, you only need a cup of tart cherry juice for this recipe, but I always buy more because I end up snacking as I'm extracting the juice.
Variations
- Other fruit juices - If you want to make these homemade gummies with other fruit juices, you can.
- Cane sugar - Some people do add sugar in place of the honey, but you need to make sure that it is dissolved completely so that there isn't a grainy texture.Â
- Vitamin C Powder - Add some powdered vitamin C for an extra immune boost. Keeping them on hand during cold season can be a simple way to give your immune health a boost!Â
- Sour Gummies - Love sour gummies? Try adding some citric acid.

Equipment
To make these gummies, you'll need gummy molds and a measuring cup. Also, having an airtight container for these homemade tart cherry gummies is key to keeping them fresh.
Storage
If you store these gummies properly, they'll have a shelf life of 1-2 weeks! Keep them in a dry place, in an airtight container. I store mine in the fridge so that they stay nice and firm, and I like them chilled. The coolness also helps them from getting sticky, which I don't care for.Â
Common Questions
I wouldn't stress about it - that happens and doesn't effect the flavor or texture. If you prefer you can pop the bubbles with a toothpick.Â
Absolutely! Since these are natural, you don't have to keep them out of the reach of children! In fact, these can be enjoyed as a simple snack and aren't considered medicine of any type at all. There are health benefits that cherry can help with, like a healthy sleep cycle, muscle soreness, a stronger immune system, resetting an internal body clock for better sleep support, and even joint pain.Â
I don't see why not! That would be a great way to extend their eatability. All you'd need to do is let them come to room temperature before enjoying them again.Â
None! This is why I make them. I love that they're a natural source of melatonin with natural ingredients. There is no high fructose corn syrup, only whole fruit juice and natural sweeteners. They can easily be added to your daily routine as a yummy burst of flavor.Â
