This Cookies and Cream Cookies Recipe makes the perfect cookie to share! The taste of this cookie perfectly balances the chunks of Oreo cookies with the delicious chocolate chips. Give these chewy cookies a try - they're some of the best cookies to make from scratch!
I love this awesome recipe. Not only is every bite loaded with Oreo cookie crumbs, but they're really such easy cookies to make. The first time I whipped up a batch, I had one in each hand before I even knew what was happening. And the taste of the cookie? Out of this world.
It's a great addition to parties and weekend snacks and a simple way to have a sweet treat on hand when the craving hits. I highly recommend that you make these baked cookies - and double the batch so that you have leftover cookies to eat during the week!

Ingredients
- Flour - Used as the main ingredient to make the cookie dough.

- Baking soda - Helps keep the cookies chewy.
- Salt - For flavor.
- Salted butter - I always prefer to use salted butter when baking.

- Bown sugar - I typically use light brown sugar.
- Eggs - To bind the wet ingredients and dry ingredients together.
- Oreo cookies - The star of the show!

How to Make Cookies and Cream Cookies
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add parchment paper to two baking sheets.
Step One: Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Step Two: Mix the butter with a mixer until creamy in a different bowl. Add the sugar and mix until fluffy. Add the eggs and mix until smooth.
Step Three: Add the flour and mix until just combined.
Step Four: Stir in the chocolate chips and Oreo crumbs. Mix just until they are evenly distributed.
Step Five: Drop cookie dough balls on the baking sheet.
Step Six: Bake for 12-14 minutes or until lightly brown on the edge.
Top Tip
Use a small cookie scoop or medium scoop to get uniform small balls for cookies. I do this and it helps with portioning out, and also no one fighting over getting a bigger cookie than another else.
Substitutions
- Dark chocolate - Add dark chocolate chips to your cookies to add a fun taste.
- White chocolate chips - You can even turn these into white chocolate chip cookies with Oreo cookie chunks.
- Golden Oreos - Instead of chocolate Oreos, use the Golden ones. Cookie recipes like this are easy to switch around.
Variations
- Hershey’s cookies - Instead of Oreo cookies, you can use other types of cookies. Think outside the box and have fun with the flavor.
- Vanilla extract - A small amount added gives a nice flavor to the cookies.
- Use your favorite candy bars - Go completely off the radar and add some of your favorite candy bar pieces to these homemade cookies!

Equipment
To make your new favorite cookie recipe, you'll want to have a cookie sheet or prepared baking sheet, hand mixer, wooden spoon, cookie scoop, and a wire rack.
Storage
Once you eat a homemade cookie or two, let them cool down completely and store them in an airtight container. These can be kept at room temperature.
You can also freeze cookies if you made a double batch and want to save some for later. Simply add them to a freezer bag and place them in the freezer. To thaw, move them to the fridge or set them out at room temperature for a short time.
Common Questions
The fastest way is to use a food processor, but you have to be careful that you don't pulse it too much, which will turn the crumbles into a powder. You can also just add the Oreo cookies to a sealable plastic bag, and use a rolling pin to roll over the top. Or put the cookies on a large cutting board and chop with a sharp knife.
Once the edges of the cookies start to turn golden brown, that is going to be your biggest clue. The top of the cookies also shouldn't look "wet", so keep your eyes looking at that area also.Â
Yes, toppings can be some of the best things for cookies! If you have any chopped Oreos, you can place them on top of the cookies right after you take them out of the oven. Otherwise, a simple drizzle of melted chocolate chips is never a bad idea.Â
